Over spring break I got to ride elephants on their bare backs, and bathe them in a river. First we were taught different commands and how to get onto the elephant. Some of the commands the we learned, were "yood"= stop, "quaa"= turn right, "sigh"= turn left, "bai"= go, "toy"= go back... Once we got on, we got to feed the elephants fruit and corn! It was really fun, My family went to Thailand with Olivia Alum's family, and we rode an elephant together. We got to steer the elephant around, and into the water. We were tossed cut up pieces of sugar cane witch were soaked in natural soap, and then we scrubbed the elephants with it. We got to sit on them while we washed them. I really enjoyed this experience and hope to do it again.
